Could people just buy PlaySafe ID accounts online?
Attempts to sell or trade PlaySafe ID accounts are something we take seriously, and our systems are specifically designed to make it ineffective.
A PlaySafe ID is tied to a verified identity, not a username or password. Even if someone were to obtain another person's login credentials, they would be unable to use that account without passing a selfie re-authentication check. This check confirms that the person attempting to access the account matches the original verified identity. If it isn't the same person, the account stays locked.
Account selling and trading is also a violation of our Terms of Service and will result in a penalty being applied to the PlaySafe ID in question.
Between our technical safeguards and our policy enforcement, we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that PlaySafe ID accounts cannot be successfully sold or traded.
