Do we work with community servers?
Yes! While we continue to work toward official game integrations, PlaySafe ID also supports integration with community servers. There are a few key differences worth being aware of:
- A valid PlaySafe ID is still required to join. Any player with an invalid PlaySafe ID — such as an account with an active network penalty or an unverified account — will not be able to join PlaySafe Protected community servers.
- Community server penalties are scoped to that network. If a ban is reported to us directly by a community server, it will not result in a full PlaySafe network penalty across games. Instead, any penalty applied will be limited to the specific community server network that submitted the report.
This distinction exists to prevent mod abuse. Full network penalties are reserved for anti-cheat detections and reports submitted by official game developers.
- Community servers are independently operated. Community servers are run by their owners, not by PlaySafe. Any decisions regarding content updates, wipes, player limits, server rules, and moderation are made entirely at their discretion.
