How does this work for people with no ID, like kids or adults without ID?

The answer differs depending on the situation:

Under 18s without a valid document. A parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over will need to create a verified PlaySafe ID account first. They can then add the young person as a child account. Please note that child and parent accounts are linked and share penalties to prevent misuse.

Adults without a valid document. Our verification partner Onfido, an Entrust company, supports identity verification across 195+ countries and over 2,500 document types, so valid ID is available to the vast majority of adults worldwide. For those who genuinely have no valid document, PlaySafe ID remains an optional feature where standard matchmaking continues to be available as usual.
