How long can bans be?

Ban lengths vary depending on the nature of the violation:

Cheating. The length of a cheating penalty depends on the severity and strength of the evidence received, and can range from weeks to years. Penalties also scale with repeat offences; a player caught cheating after serving a previous ban will receive a significantly longer penalty the second time around.

Child safety violations. There is only one penalty for grooming, child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA), or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) - a permanent ban. Anyone found to have committed these violations will never be able to access any PlaySafe Protected game or service again.
