Is PlaySafe ID anti-cheat?

Not exactly. PlaySafe ID is an accountability layer that works alongside existing anti-cheat tools, not a replacement for them.

Game developers continue using their own anti-cheat systems to detect and action cheaters. Where PlaySafe ID comes in is making those bans stick. By tying verified identities to player accounts, penalties carry real consequences across the entire PlaySafe Protected network, so cheaters can't simply move on and start fresh.
